Professional Staff Survey

Welcome to the Columbus Public Schools Professional Staff Survey Website. This site is created and maintained by the Columbus Education Association.

Article 501 of the CEA/Board Master Agreement calls for the evaluation of each school as to the professional environment and co-curricular procedures, teacher involvement and co-curricular programs in each school. The 64-question Building Staff Survey has been jointly created by teachers and administrators. The survey is periodically edited to reflect changes in district policies, technologies and requirements.

CEA has created this web-accessible version of the survey results for the purpose of sharing the information with its members in an easy-to-use format. Instead of receiving the information for only your building, you can now compare your building’s results with those of other buildings. You can also compare results from year to year to determine if there are trends in the perceived and reported quality of building leadership and activities.

Note: Every effort has been taken to provide accurate information on this site. Columbus Public Schools electronically transmitted the original data to CEA. Any discrepancies between printed versions of this data and the results found on this website can be reported by e-mailing bhern@ceaohio.org.

School Report

Select this link to reproduce a report similar to the printed version with one major difference. The numbers in red reflect district averages rather than division averages (high school, middle school, elementary school, K-8 and K-6 schools, special schools and non-instructional sites) that were in the printed versions. This means that each report is compared to averages for the entire district instead of just the other units in one division.

      1.   Choose a school year from the drop down box. For 1999-2000, choose 2000, etc.

2.      Choose a single building from the alphabetical list.

3.      Click on “View Report.”

You will see the report for the selected building or unit. The black numbers to the right of each item represent the responses for the chosen building. The red numbers below the black numbers represent the district averages for each item. You can print the report on any printer. If you have a color printer, the red numbers will print in red.
